If you aren't an aficionado but are curious about wine, this is a great tour for you, too!

This bus tour begins in Hendersonville (located 25 miles from downtown Asheville) and winds through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, ending after you have sampled some of the most extraordinary wines from several area vineyards. A certified sommelier (wine expert) will act as your guide, introducing you to the different types of grapes grown at each location and offering lessons about which "small plate" appetizers and desserts compliment the various varietals. But you don't have to be a seasoned aficionado to appreciate learning about the wine-making process or the flavors contained in each pour - all you need is curiosity about wine...your guide and the owners of the vineyards will take care of the rest.

An education about local grapes isn't the only perk you will take away from this tour...you will also enjoy the magnificent, panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the area's rolling hills, and the picturesque floral landscapes of each of the vineyards along the way!

Summary:

4 DAYS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. Must be 21 or older with valid photo ID. Tour does NOT include hotel pickup; the meeting location in Hendersonville will be specified on your E-Ticket. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-713-7421. There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Please Note:
• Dress is casual; wear what you think will be comfortable for you. You will be spending time outside in the vineyards, so it is highly recommended that you dress in layers or bring a jacket in case the weather is chilly.
• Wear comfortable shoes - you will walk out in the vineyards, if weather permits.
• Tours run rain or shine, but may be cancelled if ice or snow is in the local forecast on the day of your tour.
• You will be asked on the Order Form to specify any dietary restrictions. Your tour includes a BBQ lunch.
• Wine is not included with lunch; however, the winery where you will eat offers wines by the glass for $5.00, or you can purchase a bottle (pricing varies on the type you purchase). If you do not finish the entire bottle, you may keep it. The vineyards you visit do not distribute outside of the winery grounds.
• You may also purchase "wine ice cream." Ice cream tastings are $3.00 each for 4 flavors (prices subject to change).
• Gratuity for your driver/guide is not included in the tour price. The typical amount of gratuity is 15 to 20%, but the amount is left to your discretion.

Wine Purchases: You will be provided with tasting sheets for each of the vineyards visited; if wines are purchased, your guide will attach it to your tasting sheet for you to take at the end of the day. There will also be a cooler on the bus.
